The trial of Elisabeth Fritzl

Elisabeth also spoke about how her relationship with her children has changed since they found out about her ordeal.
“They were angry at first, but they have forgiven me. We are a close family,” she said.
Elisabeth’s story first came to light in 2008, when her daughter Kerstin was hospitalized with an unknown illness. It was then that Elisabeth revealed to authorities that she had been held captive in her father’s basement for 24 years.
