In the wake of the demise of Kristoff St. John, more information regarding his ultimate wishes is surfacing.Kristoff’s oldest daughter, Paris St. John, recently submitted legal paperwork in Los Angeles with the intention to oversee her late father’s assets, as reported by The Blast. Paris’s claim was that the actor passed away intestate. She later opposed her grandfather’s probate submission and his aspiration to execute Kristoff’s assets, as per The Blast.
Kristoff’s former wife, Mia St. John, is now clearing the air regarding the submission.
“There’s been a lot of misinformation,” says 51-year-old Mia, addressing the inaccuracies about the former Young and the Restless actor.
“Kristoff did not leave a will behind. All we found were entries in a diary. Some entries were scratched out and crossed over, and our only wish is to respect his desires,” she mentions about Kristoff, to whom she was wed from 1991 till 1995.
Mia comments regarding Paris, “She is only ensuring that Kristoff’s wishes are fulfilled. She’s not having a dispute with her grandfather. She only aims that everything happens as Kristoff desired.”
“And since Lola, his other daughter, is a minor, Paris filed the paperwork through her lawyer,” Mia mentions about Kristoff’s youngest 15-year-old daughter Lola, whom he co-parented with former spouse Allana Nadal.
Mia, who lost her son Julian to suicide in 2014 at the age of 24, a child she shared with Kristoff, also reveals that she is the sole recipient of the actor’s life insurance policy.
“People often say, ‘I can’t believe he didn’t have his affairs sorted.’ As a matter of fact, he did. He had a life insurance policy, and I am the beneficiary,” she clarifies.
The double Emmy Award winner was found deceased in his residence in the San Fernando Valley on February 3. Mia informs that during a recent court hearing, “the judge ruled in Paris’s favor,” with another hearing planned for April 19.
“Paris has no intention of quarreling with her grandfather, she’s merely ensuring that Kristoff’s wishes are met accurately,” she explains. As far as legal participation in this matter is concerned, Mia has a singular motive: to respect Kristoff’s wishes.
“I communicated with my husband every single day of his life. There were moments when he was inebriated, and there were moments when he wasn’t, but his wishes have always been clear. They’ve been consistent from the beginning. There was never any ambiguity. I am fully aware of his desires, and I aim to fulfill them,” she says about Kristoff.
Mia adds: “I talked with him daily, and he had confidence in me, which is why he made me the beneficiary of his life insurance — because he knew that I would never betray his wishes.”
