JV has been a long-standing figure on Bay Area radio for the past 30 years. During the 1990s, Vandergrift, alongside Dan “Elvis” Lay and Lance “Hollywood” Otani, formed “The Doghouse” morning team on Wild, one of the Bay Area’s most popular radio shows of the time.
He had a stint in New York radio before returning to the Bay Area and Wild 94.9 to host “The JV Show,” which airs in the mornings.
